WHY SHOULD YOU HAVE YOUR APPLIANCES PAT TESTED?

We work with you to come up with the very best solutions for your challenges!

01

What is Pat Testing?

Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use

02

How frequently should my appliances be tested?

This depends on risk, for offices annually for construction and high use every 3 months

03

Is it Law?

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition

04

Do I need to keep records of Pat Testing?

A record and / or labelling can be a useful management tool for monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of the maintenance scheme. At DPT we will provide you with a full record of what we have tested.
